DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Sept. 17, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- PetMeds, a leading online pharmacy for pets, has announced the appointment of Jeff Willard as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, effective September 28, 2026. Willard, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the consumer and e-commerce sectors, will succeed Leslie C.G. Campbell, who has served as the company’s Interim CEO and President since August 2025.

Willard’s appointment comes after a thorough search by the company’s board. Campbell, who has been a key figure in guiding the company through a critical period of transformation, will step down as Chair of the Board and leave the board entirely. Justin Mennen, currently the Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, will take over as Chair, effective September 28, 2026. Peter Batushansky, a current member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, will succeed Mennen as Committee Chair.

In a statement, Campbell expressed her confidence in Willard’s leadership.

Willard, who is a pet owner himself, emphasized his commitment to PetMeds.

To ensure a smooth transition, Campbell will remain with PetMeds as a full-time Strategic Advisor for 60 days following Willard’s arrival. In this role, she will leverage her deep institutional knowledge and strong relationships with key strategic partners, shareholders, and other stakeholders to maintain momentum on key business priorities and provide vital continuity.

PetMeds, founded in 1996, is a pioneer in the direct-to-consumer pet healthcare sector. The company offers a comprehensive range of pet health solutions, including top-brand and generic pharmaceuticals, compounded medications, and better-for-your-pet over-the-counter (OTC) supplements and nutrition. With a focus on value, convenience, and care, PetMeds and its subsidiary PetCareRx empower pet parents to help their dogs, cats, and horses live longer, healthier lives.

The company’s board and management are optimistic about the future under Willard’s leadership.
