Perseverance Metals Discovers Nickel and Copper-Sulfide Intrusion at Voyageur Project

Perseverance Metals Inc. has announced the discovery of a near-surface mafic-ultramafic intrusion hosting nickel and copper sulfide mineralization at the Osprey target within the Voyageur Project in Michigan. This discovery is significant as it mirrors the geological setting of the Eagle Ni-Cu-PGE mine, located approximately 65 kilometers to the east.
The Osprey intrusion, which has been documented up to 50 meters thick, consists of three distinct phases. The first phase is a basal, coarse-grained peridotite containing up to 8% magmatic sulfides, both interstitial and as chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite sulfide blebs and globules. Portable XRF (pXRF) analyses confirm the presence of nickel and copper-bearing sulfides in these phases, though formal laboratory assays are pending.
Perseverance Metals' exploration approach has been validated with the Osprey discovery. The company plans to immediately initiate a follow-up drill program to identify and target potential massive sulfide-bearing portions of the intrusion. Four diamond drill holes have already intersected the mafic-ultramafic intrusion, confirming its fertility and potential to host significant nickel and copper mineralization.
Michael J. Tucker, CEO and Director of Perseverance Metals, expressed enthusiasm over the discovery, stating, "To achieve our core initial Voyageur objective on just the third hole into our first target is an outstanding result and marks a significant milestone in the advancement of our project in the fertile Mid-Continent Rift."
The Voyageur Project, covering over 690 square kilometers in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, is a key exploration area for critical minerals. This discovery places Perseverance Metals at the forefront of exploration in a region already hosting notable nickel-copper projects such as the Eagle mine and the Tamarack deposit.
The Company's technical teams will conduct detailed ground geophysical surveys and borehole EM surveys to guide future drilling efforts. The exploration approach will also involve additional drilling, detailed geochemistry, and airborne geophysics to identify potential massive sulfide accumulations within the Osprey intrusion and other fertile intrusions in the region.
"This validation of our exploration methodology immediately allows us to enter Phase Two of testing the intrusion and begin the process of testing other targets on the Voyageur project," Tucker added. "Our exploration follow-up will consist of additional drilling, detailed geochemistry, and airborne and ground geophysics to guide us to where there may be massive sulfide accumulations within the Osprey intrusion, and to target other fertile intrusions in the region."
