SANFORD, Fla., Oct. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Perfect Game, the world's largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced a reorganization of its events into five distinct classes in order to provide more clarity to families and teams across the country. The reorganization, which takes effect this Fall, will streamline the PG event calendar and make it easier for players, parents, coaches, organizations, and scouts to understand what each event offers. The five event classes are: Flagship, Premier, Signature, Classic, and All-Star.

The Flagship events set the standard for the industry, bringing together the top travel ball teams and organizations in the country for elite competition, top-ranked players, and deep evaluation from college and professional scouts. Performances at Flagship events carry the greatest weight in PG team and player rankings, as well as a player's recruiting profile.

Premier events are one rung below Flagship, serving as the proving grounds for national contenders. Top programs from across the country face tough brackets with scouts on hand, and strong performances here move team and player rankings.

Signature events are state and regional competitions where teams hone their skills against emerging competition. Teams start to earn higher rankings and qualify for the national stage while mostly playing closer to home.

Classic events are where the PG pathway starts. These local events give teams a stronger stage to compete and develop without the travel, and every player is integrated into PG's scouting platform from day one.

All-Star events are invitation-only showcases for the top individual players in the country, selected by PG scouts through Showcases and other event formats. Like Flagship events, All-Star events provide a big stage with full scouting coverage.

The new structure streamlines the PG event calendar and makes it easier for players, parents, coaches, organizations, and scouts to understand what each event offers. It also gives everyone in the PG ecosystem a clearer connection to the Perfect Game brand, from a team's first local tournament to the biggest stages in amateur baseball.

Perfect Game is the world's largest elite youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, producing nearly 10,000 events, hundreds of thousands of games and showcases each year across the country. Perfect Game is dedicated to giving amateur players exposure to take their game to the next level, whether that be in college or in the professional ranks. At Perfect Game events, players perform with top-level competition in front of college recruiters and professional scouts from all over the country. Because of this, these events prove to be invaluable to college coaches as well as Major League Baseball, as they can scout a large population of talented ballplayers in one location.
