LONDON, Sept. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Pearson, the global leader in lifelong learning, has announced its acquisition of Workera, an AI-native skills intelligence platform. This move aims to bolster Pearson’s enterprise offering and meet the growing demand for workforce transformation in the age of artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Workera boasts a team of approximately 60 people. The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to standard closing conditions, including any required regulatory filings or approvals.

Workera’s technology combines agentic AI, psychometrics, and adaptive assessment to measure demonstrated proficiency through role-specific scenarios and simulations. This approach provides business leaders with a live baseline of workforce capability, including AI fluency. The platform also offers targeted development, ensuring employees receive the specific learning needed to close their skill gaps.
