PatientIQ, the leading outcomes intelligence platform, has secured $30 million in Series C funding, according to a press release. The round, led by Hughes & Company, a growth equity firm based in Chicago, will aid PatientIQ's expansion into new medical specialties and partnerships with medical device and life science companies.

PatientIQ, trusted by more than 870 healthcare organizations and 17 million patients across the United States, is now poised to deepen its market presence and enhance its real-world evidence platform. Travis Hughes, Founder and Managing Partner of Hughes & Company, will join the company's Board of Directors, bringing valuable insights to the next phase of growth.

"The patient-reported outcomes space has been a focus of our research," Hughes said. "PatientIQ stands out as a rare company that has not only created but defined a new category with significant impact on patient care. We are thrilled to support this next chapter of growth."

Since its Series B funding in 2022, PatientIQ has significantly grown its EHR-integrated network, expanding from 200 healthcare organizations to over 870. The company has also increased its patient population on the network to more than 17 million and has collected over 70 million patient outcomes. PatientIQ serves healthcare organizations across more than 20 medical specialties and powers automated data collection for leading medical device and life science companies.

Matthew Gitelis, CEO of PatientIQ, emphasized the importance of infrastructure in the healthcare industry. "The challenge in acting on outcomes data isn't a lack of will, it's a lack of infrastructure," Gitelis stated. "PatientIQ has been building that infrastructure, specialty by specialty, and we are now validated by this investment to continue our mission."

The new funding comes at a time when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) are expanding patient-reported outcome requirements, and payers are tying reimbursement to clinical outcomes. Medical device and life science companies face similar pressures to generate real-world evidence, which can only be achieved through systematic measurement in clinical settings. PatientIQ is well-positioned to become the standard for outcomes intelligence, connecting data needed by health systems, researchers, and industry partners to measure what works and improve care.

Hughes & Company's investment reflects a continued commitment to driving growth and innovation in the healthcare sector. "We are excited to partner with PatientIQ to scale their solutions and improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency," Hughes added.

With this funding, PatientIQ aims to expand its direct-to-patient commerce experience, connecting patients to products and services through its growing marketplace. The company's cloud-based platform integrates with over 50 Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including Epic, Oracle Cerner, and Athenahealth, making outcomes capture a seamless part of existing clinical workflows.

PatientIQ's platform turns patient voice into actionable insights, driving regulatory compliance, financial performance, and clinical impact. The company's partners include major healthcare organizations such as Northwell Health, Sutter Health, Mercy, Advocate Health, Johnson & Johnson, and Zimmer Biomet.

The new funding will accelerate PatientIQ's growth, enabling the company to continue its mission of improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency in healthcare.
