HAMILTON, Bermuda, Sept. 18, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Paratus Energy Services Ltd has secured a significant milestone in its ongoing bid for contracts with Brazil’s state oil company, Petrobras. According to the company's Q2 2026 interim results report, its joint venture, Seagems, has submitted bids for the Jade project and a third-party vessel. Seagems has secured exclusive access to the third-party vessel should Petrobras award the contract, subject to formal contract award and the execution of definitive agreements.
The partial tender results published by Petrobras confirm the acceptance of the bid for the third-party vessel. This development marks a crucial step in Paratus Energy's pursuit of lucrative contracts in Brazil, with the potential to significantly impact the company's future operations and financial performance. The company's 50% joint venture interest in Seagems underscores its commitment to the subsea services sector, where Seagems operates a fleet of six multi-purpose pipe-laying support vessels, providing essential support, installation, flexible pipe-laying, and construction services.
Baton Haxhimehmedi, the Interim CEO and CFO of Paratus Energy, expressed satisfaction with the progress.
Seagems' exclusive access to the third-party vessel through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) also includes a purchase option, providing the company with flexibility and strategic advantages in the tender process.
