Panasonic unveils advanced broadcast technologies for live production

WIESBADEN, Germany, Sept. 3, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Panasonic Connect Europe has unveiled a suite of advanced broadcast and ProAV innovations aimed at enhancing live production capabilities. These updates, including improved colour matching functionality and new KAIROS control options, reflect the company's ongoing commitment to broadcast technology.
Two new control panels for the KAIROS IT/IP live video production platform have been introduced. The AT-KP340 will be available in the second quarter of 2027, and the AT-KP330 will follow in the third quarter of the same year. Each panel features large touch screens on Bus rows, providing simple access to frequently used functions such as snapshots and macros. This design reduces operator fatigue and streamlines switching processes, making large-scale productions more efficient.
In a separate development, Panasonic has enhanced its Image Adjust Pro Media Production Suite with a new automatic colour-matching function. This feature aligns the colours from multiple cameras to a reference camera without requiring specialist knowledge, significantly reducing the manual effort needed for colour correction. The intuitive graphical user interface ensures consistent colour matching across Panasonic and third-party cameras, streamlining the pre-production setup and reducing operator workload. The update is set for release in the fourth quarter of 2026 and is expected to support new AW-UE200 and AW-UER200 PTZ cameras.
Additionally, Panasonic has introduced new colour adjustment functions for its AK-UCX100 studio camera and AK-UBX100 multi-purpose camera. These functions are due to be launched via firmware update in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Color Temp. Blend function takes colour temperature data from LED walls and stage lighting, blending them to generate an optimal white balance for the desired shooting environment. This ensures that visuals from real-world subjects and LED wall footage are closely aligned.
Target Color Correction allows users to designate specific colours and adjust their hue and saturation individually. This feature is particularly useful for pinpoint correction of corporate brand colours or sponsor logos displayed on LED walls. The function can configure up to three colour tables simultaneously, offering flexibility in color management.
Panasonic's Chroma Suppression function ensures overall colour reproduction while suppressing colour shifts and saturation in highly saturated visuals. This is especially beneficial for operators shooting LED displays that feature vivid computer-generated imagery at live events, such as concerts, while maintaining high-quality video expression.
While some features are still under development and specifications and release dates may be subject to change, these innovations represent significant advancements in live production technology, aiming to deliver smarter, more efficient, and visually compelling broadcasts.
