Palo Alto Networks Acquires Console for AI-Driven Security Enhancements

Palo Alto Networks, the global cybersecurity leader, has expanded its AI-driven security platform by acquiring Console, an AI-native platform that enables agentic capabilities. This move positions Palo Alto Networks to enhance its security operations by integrating advanced AI-driven analysis and action into its existing Cortex platform.
According to Nikesh Arora, Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, "Security operations can no longer rely on manual processes and human queues. By integrating Console, our customers will be able to leverage agentic workflows that are faster and more efficient. This acquisition will allow us to deliver autonomous security outcomes, giving our platform the ability to resolve alerts, issues, and requests at machine speed."
Andrei Serban, Co-Founder and CEO of Console, emphasized the company's mission, stating, "At Console, we built a platform that allows people to express operational goals, and intelligent software handles the complexity to achieve them. Joining Palo Alto Networks will give our team the security expertise, platform foundation, and global scale to bring this vision to the world's largest enterprises. Together, we can accelerate the adoption of agentic operations, making them safer and more consequential."
The acquisition of Console is part of Palo Alto Networks' broader strategy to leverage AI to transform how security operations are conducted. The platform is designed to help organizations apply AI-driven analysis and action across their enterprise operations, providing a significant competitive edge in today's rapidly evolving threat landscape.
"This is a strategic move that aligns with our vision of software-as-an-agent, where our platform can operate with speed, context, and operational discipline," Arora added. "We believe that by combining Console's agentic capabilities with our existing solutions, we can deliver more advanced and automated security operations to our customers."
Palo Alto Networks' portfolio now includes a comprehensive range of cybersecurity solutions and platforms across Network, Cloud, Security Operations, AI, and Identity.
