Ordoro, a leading provider of shipping and inventory management software for eCommerce and wholesale merchants, has introduced a new feature called Inventory Events. This tool offers users a detailed, SKU-level history of inventory changes, providing a clearer understanding of what has happened to their stock and why.

According to Jagath Narayan, CEO and co-founder of Ordoro, accurate inventory management requires more than just knowing the current quantity.

The new feature includes a comprehensive report that tracks inventory activity across various sources, such as shipments, purchase order receipts, returns, stocktakes, manufacturing, manual adjustments, and other inventory-related workflows. Each event is recorded with the SKU and warehouse associated with the activity, the date and time it occurred, the event type and reason for the adjustment, the user or workflow connected to the activity, and the impact on inventory totals.

Inventory Events provides a detailed history of inventory-affecting actions for individual products, allowing teams to connect inventory changes back to the activity that caused them. This feature is particularly useful for merchants managing purchasing, receiving, multiple warehouses, manufacturing, or frequent inventory adjustments. It helps in investigating discrepancies and understanding how inventory has changed over time.

Ordoro's Inventory Events is now available to customers on the Inventory Advanced and Premium plans. Since 2010, Ordoro has helped thousands of online merchants streamline their shipping, inventory, and fulfillment workflows. The platform acts as a central hub connecting sales channels, warehouses, suppliers, and shipping carriers, providing powerful operational tools without the complexity or cost of traditional enterprise software.

This new feature is designed to help businesses manage their inventory more effectively, ensuring that they have the right products in stock at the right time. By providing a clear and detailed history of inventory changes, Ordoro aims to empower its users to make informed decisions and improve their overall inventory management processes.
