Ontinue Reports Greenhouse Gas Emissions Progress

The report indicates a 2.5% year-over-year reduction in Scope 2 emissions, attributed to the optimization of the company's global office footprint.

Despite a 3% increase in total emissions across all scopes, the company attributes this to two primary factors: business growth that has led to increased employee travel and a planned methodology upgrade that moved fuel and energy-related activity accounting from a spend-based to an activity-based approach. This change enhances the precision of Ontinue's emissions data and aligns with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) expectations for reporting maturity.

Scope 1 emissions remained at zero, and Scope 2 emissions totaled 12.59 tCO₂e on a location-based basis, down from the prior year as Ontinue continued to streamline its office locations.

For 2026, the company plans to extend the activity-based measurement approach to its purchased goods and services category, its largest source of emissions, starting with its highest-spend suppliers.
