Ontario International Airport Appoints New Board President and Vice President
ONTARIO, Calif., Sept. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Ontario International Airport Authority has appointed Dr. Ronald O. Loveridge as its new Board President and Debra Porada as Vice President, effective immediately. The appointments were made at the Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday.
Dr. Loveridge, a veteran in public service, has been a member of the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) Board of Commissioners since 2012. His career in public service began as a Riverside City Councilmember in 1979, and he has held various leadership positions, including past president of the National League of Cities and the League of California Cities. He currently teaches political science at the University of California, Riverside.
Loveridge expressed his enthusiasm about the role: "Ontario International Airport is a cornerstone of the Inland Empire's economy and transportation network. I am honored to lead the Board at a time when ONT continues to experience significant growth and progress. Our focus will be on building on this momentum in a strategic way that benefits our passengers, communities, and the broader Southern California region."
Debra Porada, who serves as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Ontario, was elected Vice President. She has been on the City Council since 2008 and also serves on the Water Facilities Authority Board and as a regional Policy Committee member for the Inland Empire Utilities Agency. Porada previously served as president of the California League of Cities, Inland Empire Division.

The Board also selected Julia Gouw as treasurer and Jim Bowman as secretary. Ontario International Airport (ONT), ranked as the second most popular mid-sized airport by J.D.
