One Bullion Ltd, a gold exploration company based in Toronto, has completed the first hole of its 2026 drilling program at the Vumba Gold Project in northeastern Botswana. The company's efforts are part of a broader exploration strategy aimed at advancing its gold assets in a jurisdiction known for its mining-friendly environment.
The 380-meter hole, designated VUDD017, was drilled at the Vumba Central target area. This target was identified through the integration of high-resolution airborne magnetic data, historical drilling, trenching, soil geochemistry, and surface sampling. The primary objective of VUDD017 was to test the down-dip extension of the interpreted mineralized corridor and to gather additional geological and structural data to refine the company’s exploration model.
The core logging of VUDD017 revealed an amphibolite-dominated sequence with variable foliation and banding. The logging also identified silica, carbonate alteration, quartz, carbonate veins and veinlets, and locally observed sulfides. These findings are crucial for refining the company’s geological model and guiding future drilling activities.
One Bullion plans to sample the full 380-meter hole at one-meter intervals, adjusted to geological contacts, with additional quality-control samples included in submissions to ALS Geochemistry in Johannesburg. The company is also incorporating these geological observations into its three-dimensional model. Drilling of the second hole, VUDD018, has already commenced.
Adam Berk, Chief Executive Officer of One Bullion, commented, "The completion of VUDD017 represents an important step forward in our 2026 exploration program. The core logging has identified veining, alteration, and sulfides within the amphibolitic host rocks, providing valuable information to refine our geological model and help guide follow-on drilling."
The approximately 3,000-meter 2026 drilling program comprises 10 planned HQ diamond holes across priority structural corridors at Vumba. The program is being executed by Mindea Exploration and Drilling Services (Pty) Ltd., which mobilized in August 2026. The program uses a decision-gated approach, with initial holes testing the geological framework, and subsequent locations and orientations refined using the geological observations, structural measurements, and, when available, verified assays.
The company expects initial assays approximately four to six weeks after receipt of the samples by the laboratory, subject to turnaround times and any additional analytical or verification work. The results will be critical in determining the gold content and evaluating the significance of the geological observations identified in the core.
One Bullion is committed to maintaining a disciplined, data-driven exploration approach, combining modern geological methods with advanced targeting to identify and test high-priority gold targets. The company’s strategy centers on long-term value creation for stakeholders while adhering to environmental stewardship and community engagement principles.
