Oceano Wines, a leader in premium alcohol-removed wine, has unveiled its latest offerings: single-vineyard 2024 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from California's Spanish Springs Vineyard. These wines represent a significant step forward in the category, offering consumers a luxury experience without the need for alcohol.

The new releases, part of the Oceano Zero portfolio, are the first of their kind in the United States, utilizing Solos' proprietary Aroma Recovery System (ARS). This process captures and restores delicate aroma compounds after gentle alcohol removal through vacuum distillation, ensuring that the wines retain their vineyard character, balance, and layered flavors.

Renowned winemaker Rob Fischer, known for his expertise in California terroir, crafted these wines from hand-harvested grapes grown on ancient seabed soils just over a mile from the Pacific Ocean in the cool-climate San Luis Obispo Coast AVA. The 2024 vintage wines are now available nationally through online retailers and an expanding network of hospitality partners.

Cristina Ruales, the multidisciplinary studio from Ecuadorian-American designer and Oceano Wines' Creative Director, has reimagined the brand's packaging and website, translating the coastal sensibility and uncompromising approach to winemaking into a distinctive visual and experiential language. The new releases are designed to appeal to consumers who are increasingly seeking non-alcoholic options that do not compromise on quality.

Rachel Martin, CEO of Oceano Wines, founded the business in 2016 and began exclusively crafting alcohol-removed wines in 2022. She explained, "As alcohol becomes increasingly optional, wine's role in culture remains enduring. Oceano's latest releases embrace this evolution by delivering luxury California wines crafted with zero compromise, offering consumers expanded options for enjoying wine."

The new Oceano Zero wines are positioned as premium non-alcoholic alternatives, with just 5-10 calories per serving and 1-2 grams per liter residual sugar. The Chardonnay 2024, Spanish Springs Vineyard, offers energy, freshness, and citrus-pear-brioche flavors, with a mineral and saline finish. The Pinot Noir 2024, also from Spanish Springs Vineyard, presents red berries, coastal sage, and expressive, vibrant acidity alongside fine tannins and savory detail.

Oceano Wines' national rollout marks the beginning of a new chapter for the company, with additional vineyard expressions planned as the collection continues to advance the standard for premium alcohol-removed wine. Martin added, "Our ambition has always been larger than launching another non-alcoholic wine. We're helping define what this category can become."

The company's latest move is part of a broader trend in the wine industry, where non-alcoholic wine volumes grew at a 23% compound annual rate from 2019 to 2024, outpacing every other major market except Canada and Japan. According to the Wine Market Council, over 40% of U.S. adults who drink wine now say wine makes occasions feel more special. NielsenIQ reports that 92% of non-alcohol buyers also purchase alcohol-containing products, indicating a growing demand for versatile beverage options.

Oceano Wines is redefining premium alcohol-removed wine through luxury single-vineyard expressions that unite California coastal vineyard provenance, fine winemaking, and advanced aroma recovery. The company is raising the standard for premium non-alcoholic wine, with additional limited California releases planned as the portfolio evolves.
