OCEAN, a subsidiary of Mummolin, Inc., has achieved significant milestones in its operations by earning SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestation reports. These independent examinations affirm the robustness and reliability of the controls behind OCEAN’s Bitcoin mining pool operations.
Nick Watkins, Chief Financial Officer at OCEAN, stated, "Miners should be able to trust the infrastructure they depend on. OCEAN makes reward information transparent, and these reports provide another layer of assurance for finance teams and auditors."
The SOC 1 Type 2 report addresses controls relevant to customers' internal control over financial reporting, while the SOC 2 Type 2 report focuses on Security and Availability. These examinations build on OCEAN’s previous Type 1 attestations, providing a more comprehensive evaluation of the company’s internal systems over the reporting periods.
Ian Northon, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at OCEAN, commented, "Permissionless participation and independent assurance reinforce each other. This milestone affirms OCEAN's commitment to transparency, decentralization, and control in the hands of miners."
OCEAN’s commitment to these principles is reflected in its transparent reward accounting, direct payouts from the Bitcoin network, and the DATUM protocol, which enables miners to construct their own block templates while participating in pooled mining.
These attestation reports are available to customers and qualified partners under non-disclosure agreement upon request. Mummolin, Inc., the parent company of Bitcoin OCEAN LLC, continues to build transparent, decentralized Bitcoin infrastructure that returns power to miners and strengthens Bitcoin’s foundational principles.
