Nuwellis Appoints Brian Johnson as Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 16, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Nuwellis, Inc., a medical technology company focused on solutions for patients with cardiorenal conditions, has bolstered its leadership team by appointing Brian Johnson as Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs. Johnson brings a wealth of experience in the medical device industry, having spent 13 years leading quality systems and regulatory activities.

Johnson's appointment comes at a critical time as Nuwellis continues to invest in the expertise needed to advance its product development, commercialization, and initiatives across the cardiorenal continuum. Prior to joining Nuwellis, Johnson served as Senior Quality Manager at Baxter/Vantive, where he provided quality oversight for two research and development facilities, supporting 257 engineering and management employees. His previous role at ATL Medical included leading research and development and manufacturing quality activities, and he successfully reduced monthly customer complaints by 80%.

Johnson holds a Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs and Services from St. Cloud State University and a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University. In his new role, he will lead Nuwellis' quality management and regulatory activities, including quality systems, audits, supplier and contract manufacturer oversight, and regulatory compliance. Johnson will also support continuous improvement initiatives as the company advances multiple product development programs.

This appointment builds on Nuwellis' ongoing efforts to strengthen its capabilities across clinical development, product innovation, quality, and regulatory execution. The company has also recently added expertise in medical affairs and engineering, further enhancing its strategic initiatives.
