Nucular Electronics Inc., a company known for developing high-performance power electronics, has taken home the 2026 E-Mobility Award for Best New E-Mobility Technology. The recognition comes after the firm's Nucular X6F, a compact power block, demonstrated groundbreaking capabilities in a highly competitive field.
The Nucular X6F, which can be placed next to a standard credit card, measures just 227 grams (8 ounces) and is CNC-machined from aluminum. Despite its diminutive size, the device can unleash 15 kilowatts of peak power, a feat that has earned it international acclaim. This power output is sufficient to propel high-performance electric dirt bikes up steep mountain trails or to drive heavy-duty commercial fleets.
The X6F's success is attributed to several innovative design elements. It employs advanced top-side cooled (TOLT) MOSFETs to manage heat, ensuring that peak power is sustained for nearly twice as long as conventional methods. Additionally, the device features a separated dual-board architecture, with an 8-layer heavy-copper power board and ultra-low-ESR polymer capacitors handling massive current spikes. A physically separate logic board significantly reduces electrical noise exposure for the sensitive MCU.
Nucular Electronics has also engineered its own bare-metal firmware, complete with over 200 tuning parameters, and connected its hardware ecosystem via the open LEVCAN bus protocol. This approach ensures that the X6F is not only powerful but also robust and reliable. The product is designed to last, featuring recessed IP67 waterproof connectors, a field failure rate below 1%, and a 3-year warranty.
The award-winning technology represents a significant milestone for Nucular Electronics Inc.
With the official winner’s trophy now on its way to the company’s R&D workshop, Nucular Electronics is already focused on its next wave of power electronics innovations. The firm continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in high-performance power electronics, aiming to deliver even more advanced solutions to the e-mobility market.
