Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company, will present new data at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Milan, Italy, from September 28 to October 2, 2026. The presentations will cover a wide range of topics, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular, kidney, and liver-related outcomes, reflecting the company’s ongoing focus on advancing understanding and treatment of interconnected cardiometabolic diseases.

The company will share real-world evidence from the OCTANE study, which will provide insights into the use of Wegovy® pill in adults with overweight or obesity. The study will explore weight outcomes, treatment switching, and patient-reported outcomes. Additionally, CagriSema and amylin-based pipeline data will be presented, offering new insights into appetite regulation, eating behavior, and brain responses to food cues using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI).

Key presentations will include data on the efficacy of CagriSema on body composition in participants with early type 2 diabetes, as well as the impact of CagriSema on achieving composite HbA1c and weight reduction targets in participants with type 2 diabetes. The fMRI data will explore the effects of CagriSema on appetite, eating behavior, and food cue reactivity in adults with overweight or obesity.

Semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, will also be the focus of several presentations. The company will present data on the OCTANE RWE US study, which will examine 3-month real-world weight outcomes among patients with overweight or obesity after switching from injectable semaglutide or tirzepatide to oral semaglutide for weight management. Additional presentations will cover the effects of semaglutide on liver measures and indices, as well as its impact on major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Other presentations will include data on the impact of cagrilintide on physical function, phase 2b results of zenagamtide in type 2 diabetes, and the efficacy of Wegovy® in managing weight. The company will also present findings from the SUSTAIN FORTE and SUSTAIN OPTIMIZE CGM studies, which will explore continuous glucose monitoring outcomes with once-weekly subcutaneous semaglutide 2.0 mg added to dose-reduced basal insulin versus dose-titrated basal insulin in adults with type 2 diabetes.

In addition to these presentations, Novo Nordisk will also showcase results from the UBT251 trials, a triple hormone receptor agonist for adults with overweight or obesity, and the ONWARDS 10 study, which will examine continuous glucose monitoring-based metrics in adults switching to once-weekly icodec without an initial one-time additional dose versus once-daily glargine U100.

The presentations at EASD 2026 will highlight the breadth and progression of Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic portfolio and pipeline, providing new scientific insights that could shape the next generation of cardiometabolic care. The company’s ambition is to develop treatments that can help achieve more meaningful outcomes for patients living with obesity, diabetes, and related diseases.
