Northern Lights Resources Corp. has completed its first-ever drill program at the Pup Copper Project in the Yukon, Canada. The company's efforts focused on the Petal Zone, an open-ended 1,000-meter-long by up to 500-meter-wide zone with historical sample values of up to 3.799% copper from rock grab samples and up to 2,962.9 parts per million (ppm) copper from soil samples. The 2026 field program included soil sampling, excavator trenching, rock sampling, and the completion of seven reverse circulation (RC) drill holes totaling 277.36 meters.

Soil sampling in the Petal Zone returned values of up to 759 ppm copper, extending the anomaly approximately 100 meters to the northwest. Four excavator trenches, totaling 45.4 linear meters, were completed to test copper soil geochemical anomalies adjacent to the main access road. Mineralization, including malachite and rare weathered sulphides, was encountered, with the main host to mineralization being a quartz-chlorite-biotite schist. Channel sampling within trench T2 returned 7.5 meters of 0.621% copper and 4.7 parts per million (ppm) silver, while grab samples from trench T3 returned up to 0.997% copper and 8.1 ppm silver.

The RC drilling targeted mineralization identified by trenching and soil and rock geochemical targets within the core of the Pup soil anomaly. Fine disseminated sulphides were noted within all holes, with malachite identified in hole 3. The company plans to release analytical results once they are received, compiled, and interpreted.

Pup is located approximately 10 kilometers west of Dawson City and consists of 90 quartz claims totaling approximately 1,820 hectares. The project is accessible via a network of dirt roads leading to two active placer gold mines. Pup holds a Class 3 exploration permit, valid for 10 years from October 29, 2025, allowing for drilling, trenching, trail construction, and limited road building. Other targets on the property include the Finn Zone, which has yielded soil samples with up to 2,085.8 ppm copper and rocks up to 3,082 ppm copper, and the Gismo Zone, where soils have returned up to 632.3 ppm copper along with anomalous copper-molybdenum-arsenic-silver in rock samples.
