CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 03, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Northern Discovery Metals Inc. is set to kick off its exploration program at the Vent Copper Project on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with the mobilization of field personnel scheduled for September 10, 2026. This marks the first phase of a targeted exploration initiative that will focus on enhancing the company's understanding of potential copper and molybdenum mineralization in the area.
The project, located in the Alberni Mining Division, is subject to an option agreement that allows Northern Discovery to acquire a 100% interest in the property. The company has engaged Geomap Exploration Inc. to plan, coordinate, and execute the exploration program, which is expected to span approximately three weeks, contingent on favorable field conditions.
Initial activities will involve detailed geological mapping, systematic prospecting, and targeted rock and soil sampling in the Vent-Ken and Sentinel Peak areas. The primary objectives are to test and refine the geological setting of the strongest copper and molybdenum responses, verify priority magnetic and very-low-frequency electromagnetic (VLF-EM) responses from existing datasets, and address any new evidence that arises during the exploration work.
“The upcoming mobilization will transition the Vent program from the planning phase into active field execution,” stated Jared Suchan, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Discovery. “Our team will rigorously evaluate the geological and geochemical evidence to rank the priority areas and determine where further work is warranted.”
The data collected during this phase will be integrated with Northern Discovery’s existing geological, geochemical, and geophysical information to refine its geological model. If the exploration identifies a coherent geological and geochemical target, the company may consider focused induced-polarization or other ground geophysical work to further refine and rank potential drill targets.
