Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc., a company advancing a silver-recovery and exploration strategy in Ontario's historic Cobalt-Gowganda mining camp, announced the results of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 16, 2026. Shareholders overwhelmingly approved all proposed resolutions, with 98.54% or more voting in favor in all categories.
The AGM saw the re-election of four directors: Frank J. Basa, Matthew Halliday, Daniel Barrette, and Zak Mir. SHIM & Associates LLP, Charted Professional Accountants, were appointed as the Company’s auditors for the upcoming year. The shareholders also ratified the adoption of the Company’s 10% rolling share option plan.
Following the AGM, the Board of Directors appointed new officers for the ensuing year. Frank J. Basa was reappointed as President and Chief Executive Officer, Heidi Gutte as Chief Financial Officer, and Tina Whyte as Corporate Secretary. Frank J. Basa, Daniel Barrette, and Zak Mir were also re-appointed as members of the Audit Committee.
Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. is focused on putting the technical, engineering, financing, and permitting components in place for silver recovery at its Gowganda site. The company aims to generate cash flow to support further exploration. Its recovery strategy is centered on its wholly owned TTL Laboratories in Cobalt, which is the only permitted high-grade milling facility in Ontario's historic Cobalt Camp. TTL combines assay and bulk-sampling services with high-grade silver processing infrastructure and silver doré pouring capability.
The Company’s 63 square kilometer Castle property, which includes 225 hectares of leases, hosts the past-producing Siscoe-O'Brien, Castle, and Millerett silver mines and the Castle East discovery. Nord continues to evaluate the drilling results at Castle East and the exploration-stage open-pit concept described in its August 31, 2026, update. The company is also pursuing metal-recovery opportunities involving the Re-2Ox hydrometallurgical process.
Frank J. Basa, the CEO, expressed satisfaction with the AGM results, stating, "The strong support from our shareholders is a testament to the confidence they have in our strategy and leadership. We are committed to advancing our silver recovery and exploration efforts to deliver value to our stakeholders."
The Company’s forward-looking statements include the preparation and filing of a supporting technical report, further resource verification, metallurgical testing, and engineering. The advancement of resource and economic evaluation, potential mineral recovery and rehabilitation at Gowganda, and the evaluation of Castle East drilling results and conceptual open-pit potential are also part of their plans. Nord aims to expand its regional role through technical work, commercial arrangements, and the environmental approvals applicable to new material streams.
