Nomentia, a leading European provider of treasury and cash management solutions, has expanded its Smart Treasury Suite with six new capabilities aimed at enhancing treasury and finance teams' operational control and decision-making processes. This expansion, unveiled on September 9, 2026, includes advanced AI, analytics, predictive forecasting, intercompany processes, hedge accounting, and scenario analysis.
The enhancements are designed to address the growing complexity faced by treasury teams, who are increasingly expected to provide insights into liquidity, payments, financial risk, and future cash positions. These insights are often scattered across various systems and processes, making it challenging for teams to access and analyze the information efficiently.
"Nomentia's Smart Treasury Suite now offers a connected foundation where bank and ERP data, treasury workflows, controls, reporting, and intelligence can work together seamlessly," explained Marc Vietor, Chief Product Officer at Nomentia. "The latest developments extend this foundation across six key areas, providing treasury and finance teams with more intelligent, connected tools to streamline their operations."
One of the new features, Nomentia Analytics and natural-language reporting, brings embedded reporting capabilities into the platform. This feature includes pre-built reports maintained by Nomentia experts, as well as self-service reporting for more specific analysis. Users can also ask ad-hoc questions in natural language to their data and dashboards, eliminating the need to repeatedly export and rebuild data.
Nomentia Predictive Forecasting is another significant addition. This AI-generated tool creates short, mid-, and long-term forecasts from historical cash flow data. It works alongside existing liquidity and subsidiary forecasts, giving finance and treasury teams an independent forecast to use directly. This enables teams to identify differences, challenge assumptions, and strengthen forecast confidence and accuracy.
AI and AI Agents are also part of the new features, providing natural-language access to treasury information and governed platform automations. Answers are based on live, permission-scoped data, with calculations remaining within deterministic platform services. AI-proposed changes keep a human in the loop, ensuring existing controls are still in effect for AI workflows. This allows customers to automate their processes within the suite and outside using MCP tools.
Intercompany Netting supports a more structured approach to internal obligations and settlements, helping organizations reduce unnecessary internal payment flows and improve control over liquidity held across the group. Nomentia Hedge Accounting supports the cash flow hedge lifecycle under IFRS 9 or other local GAP, including hedge documentation, effectiveness assessment, and accounting entries for FX and interest-rate hedging.
Scenario Analysis adds a forward-looking what-if perspective to treasury decision-making, allowing teams to assess how changing assumptions may affect liquidity and financial risk. This feature keeps contingent items such as guarantees visible in the wider financial picture.
"These new capabilities are designed to work within the same treasury environment rather than as separate layers of technology that finance teams need to connect and maintain themselves," stated Alexander von Schirmeister, CEO at Nomentia. "Our approach to AI follows the same principle: Nomentia AI works within the permissions and controls already defined in the platform, rather than creating a separate AI environment around treasury data."
According to Nomentia, treasury teams need to answer increasingly complex questions while ensuring the answers are reliable. The latest developments in the Smart Treasury Suite provide finance teams with more ways to streamline their processes, analyze what is happening, anticipate what may happen next, and act within the governance required by their organization.
The expanded Smart Treasury Suite builds on Nomentia's existing capabilities across payments, bank and ERP connectivity, cash and liquidity management, and treasury and risk management. Nomentia empowers over 1,400 treasury teams across 100 countries to perform at their best, processing more than 2 trillion Euros annually.
