TORONTO, September 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Nine Mile Metals has announced the results of a recent drilling operation at the Wedge Mine in the Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick. The company's DDH WD-26-11 intersected two high-grade VMS (volcanic massive sulfide) zones over a total length of 27.6 meters. The drilling was conducted to a depth of 149 meters and successfully intersected the mineralized zones, which are oriented at 355°, angled -50° below horizontal.

The upper zone, located between 0 and 10.70 meters, contained significant copper-rich mineralization, with sample #396514 returning 3.47% copper equivalent (Cu-EQ). Below a 3.70-meter void, the lower zone, between 110.50 and 121.20 meters, showed a different mineralogy, characterized by lead, zinc, silver, and gold. Sample #396531 from this interval returned 87 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, 0.85 g/t gold, 1.06% copper, 4.33% lead, and 6.75% zinc, resulting in a copper equivalent grade of 5.68% Cu-EQ.

Technical information in the press release indicates that the copper equivalent grades are calculated using August 26, 2026, Kitco pricing: US$6.52/lb. Cu, US$0.85/lb. Pb, US$1.84/lb. Zn, US$67.77/oz Ag, and US$4,591.50/oz Au, with a uniform 95% metallurgical recovery assumed for all metals. The intervals are of true width.

As of the date of the press release, Nine Mile Metals has completed 18 drill holes and 4,934.50 meters of its 10,000-meter program. The company plans to continue advancing exploration across its BMC project portfolio and incorporate the results into its 3D modeling work, which is directed toward an updated NI 43-101 technical report and a future mineral resource estimate.

Nine Mile Metals has also engaged Atrium Research Corporation to provide company-sponsored research and host interviews with the company's management team. Atrium will receive cash compensation in the amount of $10,200 per quarter for the services provided over an 18-month period beginning on September 13, 2026.

The Wedge Mine is part of Nine Mile Metals' exploration efforts in the world-famous Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick, where the company is focused on Critical Mineral VMS (copper, lead, zinc, silver, and gold) exploration. The company is exploring four VMS projects: Wedge, Nine Mile Brook, California Lake, and Canoe Landing Lake (East - West), positioning for the boom in AI data centers, EV and green technologies requiring copper, silver, lead, and zinc, with a hedge with gold.
