Nexio Power Secures 77-Acre Campus for Truck Production

Nexio Power, a Texas-based manufacturer of propane-powered commercial vehicles, has secured a 77-acre industrial campus in Anderson, Texas, to support its growing truck production needs. The move marks a significant step in the company's expansion plans, providing immediate production capacity and a bridge to its future operations.

The newly acquired campus is fully equipped for heavy-duty vehicle work, featuring a range of advanced facilities that will be used for assembly, paint, testing, and lifecycle support. The site, previously utilized by a large-scale fabrication and assembly operation, now offers Nexio Power 180,000 square feet of productive space, including paint and blast capabilities, thirteen overhead cranes, a dedicated test complex, and finished sales and engineering offices.

According to Ryan Gaul, Chief Operating Officer of Nexio Power, "Anderson gives us immediate capacity in a facility that was already doing work very close to ours. It provides the necessary infrastructure, location, and access to talent to move faster today, while creating a strong bridge to our long-term plans in Lufkin."

The Anderson campus boasts a comprehensive layout designed to handle the full vehicle lifecycle. The main production building spans 78,000 square feet and includes seven overhead cranes, each rated up to 25 tons, capable of accommodating full-size trucks, tanks, and superstructures. A 24,000-square-foot assembly building, equipped with twelve production bays, supports efficient manufacturing processes. Four large paint booths and one sandblast booth are available for finishing work, with the largest paint booth measuring 20 feet by 100 feet and heated to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Testing facilities are also a key feature of the campus, with a dedicated test complex that can accommodate eleven bays and a 300,000-gallon water storage tank. This setup ensures that vehicles undergo rigorous testing before they are shipped, maintaining high quality standards.

The campus also includes 13,000 square feet of racked warehouse space, dedicated storage for just-in-time parts, and offices that support operations and sales, including meeting rooms and a customer reception area. A secure entrance, separate from the production area, allows for efficient supplier meetings.

"Nexio Power's vehicles serve the propane distribution, delivery, and Class 5–8 commercial fleet markets, and this new facility will help us meet the increasing demand for our propane-powered trucks," Gaul added.

The Anderson campus is strategically located on Highway 30 in Grimes County, approximately 80 miles from Houston's IAH airport and 90 miles from the Port of Houston. This proximity offers direct highway access for both inbound and outbound shipments, and the site is situated within an established East Texas industrial corridor. Additionally, the location's proximity to Texas A&M University provides access to a robust technical talent pool, supporting the company's hiring plans for production, engineering, and quality roles.
