HOUSTON, TX, Sept. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Nexalin Technology, Inc., a company developing non-invasive Deep Intracranial Frequency Stimulation (DIFS™) technology, has appointed Robert DiTota as Senior Strategic Advisor, Global Commercialization, effective September 15, 2026. DiTota brings over two decades of experience in neuromodulation from Abbott and Medtronic, where he held increasingly senior roles, most recently as Divisional Vice President of Sales for North America Commercial Neuromodulation. This appointment marks a significant expansion for Nexalin, which has been focused on building the clinical and regulatory foundation for its DIFS™ platform.
Nexalin's Gen-2 SYNC device, a 15 milliamp neurostimulation device, has received regulatory approval in China, Brazil, Oman, and Israel. The company is now building the commercial capability to distribute its technology in these approved markets and is preparing to extend its reach to the United States and Europe as regulatory milestones are achieved. According to Grand View Research, the market for neuromodulation is estimated at approximately $7.0 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $13.9 billion by 2033.
The Gen-2 SYNC device was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled trial that showed statistically significant improvement versus sham on the Mini-Mental State Examination (P = .001) and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (P = .03), together with treatment-associated changes in functional connectivity observed on MRI. These results were published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and in Radiology, providing a clinical and regulatory foundation for commercial development.
DiTota's extensive experience in commercializing neuromodulation products will be crucial for Nexalin as it transitions from a clinical development focus to commercialization. At Abbott, he was responsible for downstream marketing, commercial excellence, sales operations, enterprise accounts, commercial strategy, and sales training across a division representing approximately $700 million in business. He also increased revenue by more than $20 million within his first year in the role at Abbott, demonstrating his ability to drive commercial success.
Nexalin Technology, Inc. is focused on developing innovative neurostimulation products to combat the ongoing global mental health epidemic. The company's medical devices are non-invasive and undetectable to the human body, designed to provide relief to those afflicted with mental health issues using frequency-based bioelectronic medical technology. The company believes its neurostimulation medical devices can penetrate structures deep in the mid-brain that are associated with mental health disorders, supporting enhanced patient response with a favorable tolerability profile.
