ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 3, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- National childcare center operator New Horizon Academy is set to install its latest commercial solar rooftop array at its Lincoln, Nebraska facility, marking the fifth solar project in the state and the eighth across the United States with the help of All Energy Solar.
The new installation, featuring 94 panels, is projected to generate over 70,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually, providing clean power to the building and helping to reduce operational costs. This initiative is part of New Horizon Academy’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and cost efficiency.
"We are excited to see our partnership expand with New Horizon Academy," said Michael Thalhimer, Director of Business Development at All Energy Solar. "Their leadership values the energy savings delivered by these systems, which will set their newest properties up for significant reduced operating costs for decades to come. Redirecting these utility costs to their mission of providing top-rated childcare and early childhood education is a win for their business and the families they serve."
The new Lincoln school's array is expected to be installed during the fall of 2026. Each New Horizon Academy solar installation typically takes about four weeks to complete, with final connections to the grid approved by the utility company. This process ensures clean and reliable power for the new school buildings.
Thalhimer also highlighted the company's involvement in new school installations for New Horizon Academy across Minnesota, Idaho, and Nebraska. "We're proud to be installing solar arrays on new schools for New Horizon Academy," he said. "Even in the snowy Midwest, solar array systems can provide clean energy year-round, thanks to the panels' ability to handle significant snow loads."
