NaviMed Capital Expands with New Hires and Promotion

NaviMed Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity firm based in the Washington, DC area, has expanded its finance, investment, and operations functions with three new hires and a promotion. The firm now has a more robust financial and compliance infrastructure, as well as a broader investment strategy.
Holly Atallah has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Compliance. Atallah brings 25 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking. She previously worked at BroadOak Capital Partners, where she oversaw finance and compliance for the firm's investment and broker-dealer entities. Prior to that, she held positions at Palmer Financial and England & Co. Atallah holds a BS in Economics with concentrations in finance and management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Bennett Mears has been promoted to Principal. Since joining NaviMed in 2019, Mears has served on the Boards of Directors of several portfolio companies, including Advantage Surgical & Wound Care, BrentCare Behavioral Health, Infusive, Prime Therapy, and Vitoria. His previous work includes roles at Argos Health, Lucent Health, CiTRUS Health Group, and the CM Group, where he also served on the Board of Directors. Mears holds a BS with a concentration in Finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
The firm has also welcomed two new team members to support its continued growth. Charlie Mangum has joined as Senior Associate, bringing over four years of private equity and transaction advisory experience in healthcare. He holds a BA in Economics and Government from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Savannah Kovac has been hired as Executive Assistant and Operations Coordinator, bringing eight years of office and operations management experience.
