WINDOW ROCK, Ariz., October 6, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Navajo Nation is set to launch a suite of modern enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems on Monday, October 5, marking a significant step in the Nation's efforts to modernize its government operations and enhance services for the Navajo people. The initiative, announced in January 2025, involves the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Dayforce HCM, and Performa BIDS. These systems will support the Navajo Nation's financial management, human resources, payroll, procurement, budgeting, and grants administration.

The launch of these new systems is part of a broader initiative to align technology, policies, and business processes to meet the needs of one of the largest tribal governments in the United States. The new ERP suite will help standardize government operations while preserving the Navajo Nation's authority over its data and decisions, thereby strengthening accountability and financial stewardship. The systems will also reduce paper-based processing, streamline document handling, and improve the efficiency of various government functions.

The new ERP systems are designed to move contracts, requisitions, budget changes, and payments through more consistent digital workflows, ensuring that sensitive financial and employee information is protected in a secure cloud-based environment. This modernization effort is a collaborative effort involving Arctic IT, Doyon Technology Group, Dayforce, and The Performa Group.

The launch of these systems follows the successful implementation of the Navajo Nation's vital records and enrollment system, which was completed in fall 2025. This system consolidates citizen information into a secure source for authorized offices, enabling many service and enrollment requests to be completed in minutes rather than days or weeks. Self-service kiosks handle more than half of agency office requests, while streamlined processes support faster issuance of tribal and veteran identification cards and improved access to services and benefits.

Arctic IT, a Doyon Technology Group company, led the overall modernization initiative and the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and the Navajo Nation's vital records and enrollment system. Dayforce, a global leader in human capital management technology, was responsible for the implementation of the HCM and payroll modules. The Performa Group configured its BIDS platform to support budgeting and grants management.

The Navajo Nation's modernization efforts underscore its commitment to improving service delivery and governance, aligning with the broader trend of tribal governments adopting advanced technology to enhance their operations and better serve their constituents.
