JACKSONVILLE, FL, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The series, which premieres Monday, September 28, on YouTube, aims to deliver concise stories, observations, and practical reflections designed to provide viewers with a moment of perspective in an increasingly crowded media landscape.
Crim's career spans more than six decades and includes significant moments in American broadcasting. He spent 19 years as senior editor and anchor at WDIV-TV in Detroit, beginning in 1978. Before Detroit, his career included major broadcasting markets such as Chicago, Philadelphia, and Louisville, along with his work as a national correspondent for ABC. Crim was also the voice heard by ABC Radio's national audience describing Neil Armstrong's historic landing on the moon.
From 1980 through 1984, Crim served as Paul Harvey's permanent vacation substitute, eventually reaching audiences through more than 1,300 radio stations. This connection introduced Crim and his distinctive broadcast persona to an entirely new generation, many of whom discovered the real journalist through the fictional character Ron Burgundy, the fictional television anchorman at the center of the Anchorman films.
The new YouTube series, "Two Minutes to a Better Life," is part of Crim's return to a storytelling format that has been a hallmark of his career. Each episode will explore subjects including character, setbacks, relationships, humor, everyday decisions, and the experiences that shape how people see their lives. The episodes are intentionally brief, conversational, and accessible, giving viewers an opportunity to hear from a broadcaster whose career was built on one fundamental principle: a good story can make people stop, listen, and think.
Crim's influence extends beyond traditional television and radio. His professional career includes serving as a national correspondent for ABC, senior editor and anchor at WDIV-TV in Detroit, and permanent vacation substitute for legendary broadcaster Paul Harvey. Crim earned a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and is a member of broadcast halls of fame in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Through television, radio, books, and public speaking, Crim has built a career around storytelling, perspective, human achievement, and the power of a well-told story. With his new YouTube series, Crim is once again reaching an audience beyond traditional broadcast media, this time directly through a platform where millions of viewers discover and consume stories every day.
