The Morris County Chamber of Commerce will host a Transportation Update with New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Commissioner Priya Jain on Thursday, October 8, at 11:30 a.m. at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park. The event aims to highlight the importance of transportation initiatives in maintaining and improving New Jersey’s infrastructure and their impact on the region’s economic future.
Commissioner Jain will discuss ongoing projects that enhance the state’s transportation network, including roads, highways, and bridges, as well as mass transit systems. The discussion will also explore how transportation agencies are shaping New Jersey’s economic landscape through strategic planning, infrastructure upgrades, transit-oriented development, emerging mobility technologies, and innovative partnerships.
Panelists will include Genevieve Clifton, director of multimodal and maritime resources at NJDOT; Aaron Sherburne, deputy director of aviation planning at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; and Gagandeep Singh, senior vice president of real estate, technology, and business intelligence at NJ TRANSIT. The event will be moderated by Joann Papageorgis, department manager of planning and sustainability consulting at construction engineering firm Dewberry.
