BOSTON, Sept. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Tokio Marine North America Services (TMNAS), a shared services organization for the Japan-based Tokio Marine Group, has selected Monitaur’s AI governance platform to strengthen AI governance across multiple U.S. subsidiaries, including Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Tokio Marine America, and First Insurance Company of Hawaii. The move underscores the growing importance of AI governance in the insurance industry, where the adoption of AI across various lines and departments, including underwriting, claims, and marketing, requires robust and uniform management.
Monitaur, a leading AI governance platform for regulated enterprises, has been selected by TMNAS to implement its solution for the three U.S. subsidiaries of the global Tokio Marine Group. As global insurers accelerate their use of AI, establishing uniform and streamlined AI governance has become a critical operational requirement and foundation for AI investments and transformation.
The Monitaur platform provides four Tokio Marine companies with an intelligent governance system that will guide stakeholders, create transparency, and mitigate AI risks. This will enable Tokio Marine to deploy AI responsibly, benefiting its customers and business. Monitaur’s capabilities include risk assessment, objective validation, and quantification, allowing the company to establish acceptable risk tolerances and monitor AI adoption and use to continually calibrate opportunities and risks across the enterprise.
Through the relationship, Tokio Marine will leverage Monitaur’s capabilities and insurance-specific configurations to solidify governance requirements and evaluate AI systems against those requirements. This will also establish real-time visibility of AI across the business and the status of compliance and conformance with the company’s AI governance objectives. This includes the use of FlightSim, Monitaur’s objective assurance capability for high-impact AI, which uses repeatable validations, simulated scenarios, and black-box testing to assess system performance and readiness for use.
Monitaur, which works with Fortune 200 companies, is a Visionary in the inaugural 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for AI Governance Platforms, a Strong Performer and Customer Favorite in The Forrester Wave™: AI Governance Solutions, Q3 2025, and a category leader. The company helps enterprises understand where they stand, operationalize responsible AI, and independently verify that AI systems perform as intended across the lifecycle.
