Moleculin Biotech, Inc., a Phase 3 clinical stage pharmaceutical company, has made available an on-demand video presentation from its participation in the H.C. Wainwright 28th Annual Global Investment Conference. The presentation, featuring Walter Klemp, the Chairman and CEO of Moleculin, provides an overview of the company and highlights recent corporate and clinical developments.

The presentation, accessible via the Events page on the company’s website (moleculin.com), covers Moleculin’s lead program, Annamycin, a highly efficacious and well-tolerated anthracycline designed to avoid multidrug resistance mechanisms and cardiotoxicity. Annamycin is currently in development for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and soft tissue sarcoma (STS) lung metastases. Moleculin has initiated the MIRACLE (Moleculin R/R AML AnnAraC Clinical Evaluation) Trial (MB-108), a pivotal, adaptive design, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2/3 trial evaluating Annamycin in combination with cytarabine, referred to as AnnAraC, for the treatment of relapsed or refractory AML.

Klemp’s presentation also touched on the Company’s other pipeline candidates, including WP1066, an Immune/Transcription Modulator capable of inhibiting p-STAT3 and other oncogenic transcription factors while also stimulating a natural immune response, targeting brain tumors, pancreatic, and other cancers. Additionally, the company is developing WP1122, an antimetabolite for the potential treatment of pathogenic viruses and certain cancer indications.

Moleculin Biotech is currently in the process of de-risking its development pathway towards potential approval for Annamycin for the treatment of AML. The company believes that the interim efficacy trends observed in a limited patient population will be confirmed in the full study population. However, the results presented are based on a small sample size (n=45) and have not achieved statistical significance, and they may not be predictive of results from the completed trial.

The Company is also preparing for the H.C. Wainwright 28th Annual Global Investment Conference, which will be held from September 14-16, 2026, in New York, NY. Management will be available on-site to participate in one-on-one meetings with qualified members of the investor community who are registered to attend the conference.

Moleculin Biotech, Inc. is advancing a pipeline of therapeutic candidates addressing hard-to-treat tumors and viruses. The company’s lead program, Annamycin, is currently in development for the treatment of relapsed or refractory AML and soft tissue sarcoma lung metastases. The MIRACLE trial (MB-108) is evaluating Annamycin in combination with cytarabine for the treatment of relapsed or refractory AML.
