SHENZHEN, China, Oct. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- MINISFORUM, a global edge computing solution brand, has unveiled the MS-S1 MAX-P495, a powerful workstation designed to support the growing demand for local artificial intelligence (AI) computing. This new model represents a significant step in MINISFORUM's strategy to expand its local AI computing capabilities, aiming to bridge the gap between current AI technologies and the emerging era of super intelligence.
The MS-S1 MAX-P495 is powered by the AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ PRO 495, built on the advanced Zen 5 architecture. This processor features 16 cores and 32 threads, capable of operating at clock speeds up to 5.2GHz. It also integrates Radeon™ 8065S Graphics, providing a robust computing environment for AI enthusiasts, developers, and professional creators.
One of the key upgrades in the MS-S1 MAX-P495 is its memory capacity. The unified memory has been increased from 128GB to 192GB, while the maximum allocatable VRAM has risen from 96GB to 160GB. This larger shared CPU-GPU memory pool allows the system to handle larger AI models, making it suitable for running 300B-class large language models locally. In testing, the DeepSeek V4 Flash 284B (Q4) model ran on a single system at approximately 12 tokens per second, enabling local inference, AI application development, and professional creative workloads such as AI-assisted creation and 3D rendering.
The MS-S1 MAX-P495 is not just a single system; it can be expanded through multi-system deployment. Two 192GB MS-S1 MAX-P495 units can form a dual-system cluster capable of running Qwen3.5-397B locally at approximately 16 tokens per second. Additionally, the system supports 2U rack deployment, allowing multiple units to be linked together to form a distributed cluster. A four-system configuration successfully ran DeepSeek-R1 671B Q4 (380GB, Q4_0 quantization), demonstrating the scalability of the platform.
The MS-S1 MAX-P495 is now available for pre-order at a regular price of US$9,249, with a 20% discount bringing the price to US$7,399. Shipping is expected to begin in mid-October.
