MiMedia Names Telecom Veteran Stephen Andrews to Board

MiMedia Holdings Inc, a provider of a next-generation consumer cloud platform, has appointed Stephen Andrews, a seasoned telecom executive, as a board director. Andrews, who has spent over 25 years in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors, brings extensive experience to the company.

Andrews most recently served as the President of Global Carrier Business and Networks at British Telecom (BT PLC), where he was responsible for expanding the company's growth and business reach both domestically and internationally. His roles also included managing European businesses, overseeing Group Mobility, and leading Retail Products and Services. During his tenure, Andrews played a crucial role in shaping BT's strategy, legal, and regulatory teams.

In the past decade, Andrews has held board chairman or non-executive director positions with various telecom, data center, and technology businesses. He has also served as the former Chairman of the Fixed Mobile Convergence Alliance (FMCA) and the Telco Futures Forum. Currently, he is a board advisor at the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), a consortium of over 150 global members, including major fixed and mobile operators, tech giants, and software/hardware vendors.

In addition to Andrews' appointment, the company's board has approved the grant of options and restricted share units to certain directors and officers. The options will vest over three years, with full acceleration upon a sale of the company, and will expire in five years. The restricted share units will vest over one year, also with full acceleration upon a sale of the company.
