VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Midnight Sun Mining Corp. (TSXV: MMA / OTCQX: MDNGF), a company focused on advancing its Solwezi Copper Project in Zambia, has entered into a strategic Earn-In and Operating Agreement with Mulundu Holdings Limited regarding the 62 square kilometre Mulundu Licence. The agreement aims to integrate the Mulundu Licence into Midnight Sun’s ongoing Dumbwa exploration program, which is embedded within the Solwezi Project.

The recent geophysical interpretation indicates that the Dumbwa mineralized trend may extend northwest from the Company’s existing licence area onto the Mulundu Licence. This discovery has prompted Midnight Sun to pursue the acquisition of the Mulundu Licence, which could significantly expand the footprint of the Dumbwa exploration program.

Under the terms of the Earn-In Agreement, Midnight Sun will pay USD$25,000 to Mulundu Holdings Limited within one week of the agreement’s execution. In Stage 2, the Company will be required to prepare and submit the necessary environmental documentation and obtain the applicable clearance from the Zambia Environmental Management Agency. Stage 3 involves Midnight Sun funding CAD$750,000 in exploration and development expenditures to earn a 51% interest in the Mulundu Licence. If Midnight Sun continues to fund, it will have the opportunity to earn an additional 29% interest, bringing its total ownership to 80% of the Mulundu Licence, by funding an additional CAD$3,000,000 in exploration and development expenditures within 36 months.

The Solwezi Copper Project, which is home to the flagship Dumbwa copper deposit, is located near the town of Solwezi in the heart of the Zambia, Congo Copperbelt. This region is renowned for hosting multiple major copper deposits and benefits from excellent infrastructure, an established mining workforce, and a long history of successful production. The Solwezi Copper Project is surrounded by producing copper mines, including the geologically similar Lumwana mine and First Quantum’s Kansanshi mine, which are approximately six kilometres east of the company’s property boundary. This highly favorable location highlights the district-scale potential of Midnight Sun’s land package.

Led by an experienced geological team with a proven track record of major discoveries in the Zambia, Congo Copperbelt and globally, Midnight Sun’s goal is to delineate Zambia’s next generational copper deposit. The Dumbwa copper deposit underlays a robust 20-kilometre copper-in-soil anomaly, and ongoing drilling has demonstrated strong geological similarities to the nearby Lumwana mine, underscoring the potential scale of this new copper system.

The acquisition of the Mulundu Licence is a clear priority for Midnight Sun, as it has the potential to meaningfully expand its land package and the footprint of the Dumbwa exploration program. The acquisition of the Mulundu Licence is a significant step in Midnight Sun’s strategy to expand its exploration activities and potentially uncover new copper deposits within the Dumbwa Trend.
