Midea showcases AI-powered SMART MASTER at IFA 2026

Microsoft's Cliff Liang, General Manager of Enterprise Commercial for the China Region, also attended the event to discuss the future of AI. "The next phase of AI will involve more natural and embodied interactions," he said, highlighting Midea's approach to integrating AI into everyday life.

SMART MASTER goes beyond voice control, offering personalized support through various agents. Upon arrival, the Comfort Agent adjusts the air conditioner and humidifier, manages laundry, and creates a comfortable environment. The Health Agent recommends meals based on ingredients in the refrigerator and coordinates kitchen appliances. The Efficiency Agent helps manage energy use, and the Service Agent diagnoses issues, provides maintenance guidance, and offers real-time video support when needed.

Midea also unveiled its Midea Robot, a physical embodiment of AI showcased at the IFA booth. This robot handles tableware, prepares popcorn, and interacts with visitors, providing a glimpse into the future of embodied intelligence. Built on the EAGLES system architecture and powered by four multimodal foundation models, the robot supports laundry, kitchen, and cleaning tasks, as well as companionship and whole-home intelligent control.
