Menu-Order AI Launches Daily GLP-1 Habits Tracker

Menu-Order AI, a company that helps users make healthier food choices, has launched a new feature called Daily GLP-1 Habits. This tool is designed to complement the growing number of health plans that require patients to participate in lifestyle support programs alongside GLP-1 medication coverage.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) began its Medicare GLP-1 Bridge on July 1, 2026, providing eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries with access to certain GLP-1 drugs. Additionally, the CMS's BALANCE model pairs GLP-1 medication access with healthy lifestyle interventions for people with Medicaid. The World Health Organization (WHO) released its first global guideline on GLP-1 therapies in December 2025, recommending the pairing of medication with behavior support.

Menu-Order AI's Daily GLP-1 Habits feature, developed in collaboration with Dr. Leigh-Anne Dale, a founding medical advisor, extends the company's services beyond restaurant decisions. Users can now scan a restaurant menu and receive three personalized options that align with their health goals. The feature allows users to log their meals and track their macros throughout the day, with iOS users able to connect with Apple Health to monitor their steps.

The launch of Daily GLP-1 Habits comes at a time when federal coverage of GLP-1 medications is expanding, and there is a growing emphasis on lifestyle support. Insurers and pharmacy benefit managers often cite missing documentation of prior lifestyle interventions as a reason for denying coverage requests. Menu-Order AI aims to help GLP-1 patients stay engaged and provide healthcare providers with a clearer picture of their daily habits.

According to Melissa Butler, the founder and CEO of Menu-Order AI, "A prescription is only one part of the GLP-1 journey. Working with Dr. Dale, we created Daily GLP-1 Habits to help patients stay engaged and give healthcare providers a clearer picture of what is happening between visits."

Daily GLP-1 Habits provides patient-reported documentation, but it does not certify compliance, guarantee insurance coverage, or replace an insurer-required or clinician-directed lifestyle program. The feature generates a monthly participation report that patients can share with their healthcare provider. The report remains on the patient's phone, and Menu-Order AI does not send, store, or transmit it.

The launch of Daily GLP-1 Habits is part of a broader trend in healthcare where technology is being used to support patients in managing their health. As GLP-1 medications become more widely available through federal programs, tools like Daily GLP-1 Habits are becoming increasingly important in helping patients adhere to their treatment plans and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
