TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Mayfair Gold Corp. has announced significant advancements in its exploration program at the Fenn-Gib project in the Timmins region of Northern Ontario. The company’s summer exploration efforts have focused on enhancing the geological understanding of the North and South blocks, with a particular emphasis on the South Block.

Advanced geological mapping and sampling have been carried out on over 95% of known outcrops, resulting in the collection of 127 grab samples. These efforts have strengthened the company’s geological understanding and have brought several South Block targets closer to drill-ready status, with plans to initiate drilling in early 2027. Adree DeLazzer, Vice President of Exploration, commented, "This season’s work has significantly advanced our geological understanding of the North and South blocks, and we are optimistic about the potential of the South Block."

The exploration program also included a condemnation drilling program to test the proposed infrastructure locations identified in the 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study. Twenty-three drill holes, totaling 6,184 meters, were completed, confirming the suitability of the tested locations for planned infrastructure. No changes to the current site layout are required based on these results.

To further integrate geological and geochemical data, Mayfair Gold is developing a comprehensive 3D geological and multi-element geochemical model. Over 900 inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) assays have been conducted to date, with plans to expand the database and strengthen the geo-metallurgy model. The model will support exploration efforts across the broader property.

Quality assurance and control procedures have been maintained throughout the program. Core samples were cut and analyzed by Swastika Laboratories Ltd., an independent accredited laboratory, ensuring the reliability of the data. Mayfair Gold’s focus remains on advancing the Fenn-Gib Project, with plans to develop the project under the provincial permitting process, targeting the higher-grade 1 million ounce probable mineral reserve.

The company is also considering options to capitalize on the favorable results from the grade control program, potentially leading to targeted infill drilling. Mayfair Gold remains committed to enhancing the mineral resource scale and exploring growth opportunities around the broader land package.

As part of its ongoing efforts, Mayfair Gold is advancing permitting activities, detailed engineering, and stakeholder engagement. The company aims to start construction in 2028 and achieve initial production in 2030. The 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study outlines a base-case payback period of 2.7 years and cumulative free cash flow of US$896 million over the first six years of production, based on a US$3,100/oz gold price.

These developments continue to underscore Mayfair Gold’s commitment to the Fenn-Gib project and its potential to become a new Canadian gold producer.
