Makhanchor Films has completed the first season of its supernatural mystery thriller, "Beyond Midnight," which will be seeking over-the-top (OTT) acquisition and licensing deals. The six-episode season, which began with the mysterious disappearance of Maya, delves into the lives of Aarav and his friends as they uncover a series of violent and inexplicable deaths connected to an unfinished ritual.
The story follows Aarav, played by Krish Dhangar, as he investigates the connection between Maya's disappearance and the deaths surrounding him. Maya, portrayed by Samriddhi Srivastava, remains a central figure even in her absence, her calls and memories driving the narrative. The season also features Ajay Singh as Rohan, Shraddha Nalinde as Sana, Neeti Gaur as Rhea, and Sam Arya and Yatindra Panchal as Kabeer and Neeraj, respectively. These characters are drawn into the pattern of the ritual, each carrying their own secrets and guilt.
The supernatural element of the series is woven into the emotional fabric of the story, with each episode advancing the investigation and the mark that continues to form on Aarav's hand. The season unfolds through six chapters titled "The First Mark," "Dark Truth," "Hidden Truth," "The Mastermind," "Final Breath," and "The Final Offering." Each episode runs between 33 and 36 minutes, totaling 210 minutes and 12 seconds for the complete season.
Makhanchor Films completed the series over 22 continuous shooting days in Rajasthan, using the Sony FX6 camera system with Cooke SP3 lenses. The final picture format is 4096 by 2160 DCI 4K at 24 frames per second, with Rec.709 review masters. Audio delivery materials include an OTT 5.1 mix at minus 24 LKFS and minus 2 dBTP, a dialogue-gated 5.1 mix at minus 27 LKFS and minus 2 dBTP, and a stereo 2.0 mix at minus 24 LUFS and minus 2 dBTP.
The completed season is designed to stand on its own, while its mythology can continue. A six-episode second season titled "The Fifth Seal" has already been scripted. The continuation will develop the Watcher order, Aarav's bloodline, and the larger blood debt behind the ritual without changing the completed arc of the first season.
Makhanchor Films is now inviting acquisition, licensing, and distribution discussions for "Beyond Midnight" Season 1. Interested platforms, aggregators, distributors, and authorized content representatives may contact the company to request the pitch deck, trailer, secure screeners, episode details, rights information, and delivery specifications.
