Macquarie Asset Management has partnered with La Caisse to support the growth of Maple Infrastructure Trust, an Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) that owns and operates toll roads across India. The partnership, announced on September 14, 2026, marks a significant move for both companies as they combine their expertise in infrastructure investment and management.

Through Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund 4 (MAIF4), Macquarie Asset Management has committed $450 million to Maple. This investment includes an additional $150 million earmarked for future acquisitions, reflecting the company's commitment to Maple's expansion. La Caisse, a global investment group, has also committed $150 million to support Maple's future growth.

Established in 2021, Maple Infrastructure Trust owns and operates seven toll roads across six states in India, covering an aggregate length of approximately 3,328 lane kilometers. The road network operates under long-term concession frameworks, providing a stable and predictable revenue stream.

Verena Lim, Co-Head of Asia-Pacific Infrastructure for Macquarie Asset Management and Asia CEO for Macquarie Group, expressed confidence in the Indian market.

Emmanuel Jaclot, Executive Vice-President and Head of Infrastructure and Sustainability at La Caisse, echoed this sentiment. "Five years ago, we entered India's roads sector with a single asset and a conviction in the market's long-term potential. Since then, Maple has grown into one of the country's leading road platforms. Our partnership with Macquarie Asset Management is a strong vote of confidence in what we've built and the growth opportunities ahead."

India's expanding middle class and rising vehicle ownership are driving increased demand for high-quality transport infrastructure, including toll roads and electrification solutions. According to Macquarie Asset Management, the country's road network extends around six million kilometers, making it one of the largest and most diverse in the world.
