Los Angeles Libros Festival Celebrates Latino Heritage Month

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 09, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Los Angeles Public Library is marking Latino Heritage Month with its eighth annual Los Angeles Libros Festival, set for Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Central Library. This year’s event, the largest yet, will feature a diverse lineup of 25 programs, 17 authors, and two musical acts representing eight countries.

Attendees can look forward to workshops with Self Help Graphics & Art and Tía Chucha’s Centro Cultural, as well as custom bilingual typewriter poetry and the Guinness World Records largest pop-up book.

The Los Angeles Libros Festival is part of a larger celebration of Latino Heritage Month, which includes baile folklórico performances, English and Spanish storytimes, crafts, movies, and more. The festival is organized in partnership with LA librería, Southern California’s only bookstore specializing in Spanish-language children’s and young adult books, and REFORMA Los Angeles, which promotes library and information services to Latinos and Spanish speakers.
