Local service website boosts revenue with Bing search traffic

In July 2026, a local service website that had almost entirely lost its Google search traffic generated a significant amount of revenue and leads from Bing organic search, according to figures from Lead Smart Inc, a U.S.-based pay-per-call affiliate network for home services.
The website, which focuses on gutter services, received 211 inbound phone calls, 37 converted leads, and $920.01 in revenue in July 2026 from Bing alone. This marked a substantial shift from its previous reliance on Google, which only sent seven clicks from 6,900 impressions, placing it at an average position of 67.
Mohsin Momin, an affiliate publisher and the author of the figures, noted the stark contrast in traffic between the two search engines. While Bing delivered 331 clicks from 10,300 impressions, resulting in a 3.23 percent click-through rate, Google's performance was significantly lower. Over the past year, Google had served 131,000 impressions but returned only 37 clicks.
"These results highlight the potential of non-Google search engines, especially for specific local services," Momin said. "Sometimes, the search engine with a smaller user base can bring in earnings that Google cannot."
The site, registered in 2025, was built with a nationwide script generating one page per U.S. city, with services targeted within each city page. It featured interlinked cities from state hubs, providing a comprehensive local service network.
Matthew Zivkovic, the founder of Lead Smart Inc, emphasized the importance of maintaining a presence on non-Google search engines. "Publishers often write off a site the moment Google drops it, but they are losing out on potential revenue," he stated. "The non-Google index is less contested, and in pay-per-call, the only thing that matters is whether the visitor picks up the phone."
According to Zivkovic, the Bing traffic generated 211 phone calls, with 169 being completed and 37 converting into billable leads. The network pays a top rate of $50 per lead on installation and replacement search terms.
