BLOOMFIELD, Ind., Oct. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Limitless Aeronautics, a developer of drone-independent, vendor-agnostic payloads, initiators, and munitions for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), has announced a significant expansion of its operations to the American Center for Manufacturing and Innovation (ACMI) National Security Industrial Hub (NSIH) in Indiana. The move aims to rapidly scale mass production of drone payloads and munitions, a critical initiative in modernizing military capabilities and closing the munitions gap for the U.S. military.
Under the agreement with ACMI Federal, Limitless will develop, qualify, and scale production of four universal drone payload attachments and three munition variants on the NSIH Munitions Campus. This collaboration provides Limitless with the resources and ecosystem necessary to advance its capabilities and deliver at scale, supported by the advanced manufacturing support and shared services available at the NSIH campus.
The initiative is designed to produce over 100,000 payload and munition systems within its first two years, transitioning combat-proven hardware into high-volume production. This enhanced capability at this scale is aimed at helping to close the critical munitions gap for the U.S. military and aligning with new initiatives around drone warfare and autonomous systems from the Pentagon.
"We are thrilled with the result," said Alex Gardner, CEO of Limitless Aeronautics.
The American Center for Manufacturing and Innovation (ACMI) is an industrial group focused on revitalizing the United States' manufacturing base by building essential infrastructure and providing the strategic investment and support modern manufacturers need to scale. Operating through its affiliates (ACMI Federal, ACMI Capital, and ACMI Properties), ACMI aligns public and private capital, specialized resources, and technical expertise to bridge critical gaps in domestic production.
The ACMI National Security Industrial Hub (NSIH) has grown to approximately 700 acres, making it the largest aerospace and defense project in the state. The campus is adjacent to Crane Army Ammunition Activity and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. The footprint has grown from 1,100 to more than 1,500 acres, making it the largest aerospace and defense project in the state.
Limitless Aeronautics is a U.S. defense hardware manufacturer defining the payload layer for lethal and non-lethal unmanned operations through the first truly drone vendor independent and mission independent ecosystem of payload systems, one-way attack warheads, dropped munitions, and mission hardware for Group 1-3 unmanned systems. Limitless turns today's highly fragmented drone market into a unified combat ecosystem, enabling drones from competing manufacturers to share a common family of mission capabilities without locking soldiers to a single platform, vendor, or use case.
The ACMI National Security Industrial Hub (NSIH) is the site where Limitless will establish dedicated American manufacturing lines at its Department of War-supported Munitions Campus. The initiative aims to produce over 100,000 payload and munition systems within its first two years, transitioning combat-proven hardware into high-volume production to establish and scale America's first truly universal, drone-independent payload layer. This effort is a dramatic increase in drone capability production, establishing America's first universal, drone-independent payload layer while creating skilled careers for American technicians, engineers, and production managers.
