BOSTON, Oct. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Life Biosciences, a biotechnology company pioneering cellular rejuvenation medicines to reverse diseases of aging, announced today that it will present new interim data from its Phase 1 clinical trial of ER-100 in patients with glaucoma at the Eyecelerator @ American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2026, which is scheduled to be held in New Orleans, LA on October 8, 2026.

The presentation will take place in the Glaucoma Digital session, which is scheduled to run from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Central Time (CT). The session will be held in La Nouvelle Ballroom C, Ernest Morial Convention Center, in New Orleans, LA. The data will be presented by Sharon Rosenzweig-Lipson, PhD, the company's Chief Scientific Officer.

This presentation is a significant milestone for Life Biosciences, as it represents the first-in-human data from its Phase 1 clinical trial of ER-100 in patients with optic neuropathies, including open-angle glaucoma (OAG) and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). The Phase 1 trial is evaluating the safety and tolerability of ER-100 in patients with optic neuropathies, with additional endpoints assessing visual function.

ER-100 is the first clinical candidate from Life Biosciences' Epigenetic Restoration platform, which uses controlled expression of three transcription factors, OCT4, SOX2, and KLF4 (OSK), to restore cellular function by resetting the epigenetic code to induce more youthful patterns of gene expression. The company's proprietary Epigenetic Restoration platform utilizes these transcription factors to restore older and damaged cells to a younger and healthier state, targeting a root cause of aging at the epigenetic level.

The company's lead program, ER-100, is in development for optic neuropathies, including open-angle glaucoma (OAG) and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), with a Phase 1 clinical trial initiated in the first quarter of 2026. Beyond ER-100, Life Biosciences is strategically broadening its therapeutic pipeline to address additional age-related diseases, underscoring the platform's versatility and transformative potential.

The interim data from the Phase 1 trial will be presented at the Eyecelerator @ AAO 2026, a significant event in the field of ophthalmology. The presentation will be led by Sharon Rosenzweig-Lipson, PhD, and will be available for viewing at clinicaltrials.gov (NCT07290244): clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07290244.
