VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Liberty Gold Corp., a U.S.-focused gold company, has been added to the MVIS® Global Junior Gold Miners Index, effective September 18, 2026. This inclusion marks a significant step in the company's evolution as a leading North American gold development company.
The MVIS® Global Junior Gold Miners Index is the underlying benchmark for the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (GDXJ), which seeks to replicate the price and yield performance of the index. Liberty Gold's addition to the index is expected to further expand its visibility, liquidity profile, and accessibility among institutional and retail investors.
Jon Gilligan, President and CEO of Liberty Gold, commented, "Inclusion in the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index represents another step in Liberty Gold's continued evolution as a leading North American gold development company. As we advance Black Pine through detailed engineering and permitting, we remain focused on disciplined execution. This consolidates a credible path through financing, approvals, construction, and operations, delivering long-term value for shareholders."
Liberty Gold is advancing the Black Pine project, a 100% owned oxide gold project located in Idaho, within the Great Basin, one of the world's most productive and mining-friendly gold regions. The project is a large-scale, past-producing, run-of-mine heap leachable gold deposit progressing through feasibility and permitting toward a modern open-pit mining operation.
The company's strategy is centered on advancing high-quality, long-life gold assets, with a clear focus on technical simplicity, strong environmental performance, project executability, collaborative permitting processes, and value creation.
The MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index tracks the performance of liquid, small-capitalization companies principally involved in the global gold and silver mining industries. The index is reviewed semi-annually in March and September, and Liberty Gold's inclusion is a result of the September 2026 review.
With this addition, Liberty Gold is expected to benefit from increased exposure and potential for greater liquidity, as the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF is a widely followed benchmark. The company's focus on advancing the Black Pine project and its commitment to disciplined execution are expected to drive long-term value for shareholders.
As Liberty Gold continues to advance its projects and expand its visibility, the company remains committed to delivering sustainable long-term value to its stakeholders.
