LG showcases high-purity RGB TV at IFA 2026

SEOUL, South Korea, LG Electronics (LG) has showcased its latest innovation, the LG Micro RGB evo (model MRGB95), an ultra-large LCD TV with high-purity RGB color performance, at IFA 2026 in Berlin, Germany, from September 4 to 8. The TV, which leverages LG's proprietary Micro RGB technology and the company's α11 AI Processor Gen3, has earned TÜV Rheinland's 'High Purity RGB Spectrum Display' certification.

The LG Micro RGB evo and Mini RGB evo models are designed to deliver exceptional color purity, enhancing the separation and purity of red, green, and blue to produce more natural and expressive colors. This remarkable color performance has been independently verified by TÜV Rheinland, which has awarded its High Purity RGB Spectrum Display certification to the LG Micro RGB evo MRGB95 and Mini RGB evo MRGB9M and MRGB85 models.

Hüseyin Derman, Regional Sales Manager of Products Europe at TÜV Rheinland, highlighted the significance of the certification: "The TÜV Rheinland certification confirms that LG's Micro RGB evo has passed a rigorous evaluation of its capacity to deliver physically and optically high-purity colors by completely preventing the intermixing of RGB wavelengths."

At the heart of the LG Micro RGB evo is the α11 AI Processor Gen3, LG's most advanced smart TV processor used in flagship OLED models. This processor, with its Dual AI Engine, analyzes texture and edge simultaneously to produce more cohesive and lifelike images across movies, shows, and games. The Precision Color Enhancer, powered by the α11 Gen3, ensures the purity of each primary color while fine-tuning gradation and tonal transitions. Micro Dimming Ultra, another feature of the processor, precisely manages brightness across thousands of dimming zones, revealing subtle details in both deep shadows and bright highlights.

The LG Micro RGB evo will be on display at the LG booth in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin throughout IFA 2026. With the addition of the Mini RGB evo, LG is expanding its premium LCD display lineup to offer more options to customers seeking high-quality viewing experiences.
