WEST HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 20, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, has introduced the Starline T5 DoubleBar track busway, a high-ampacity solution designed for high-density environments. This new product, which addresses the growing power demands of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, is the company's latest innovation aimed at supporting next-generation data centers.

The Starline T5 DoubleBar track busway features a configuration with two T5 bars in parallel, delivering up to 2000A of power. This robust power distribution capability is crucial as data center operators push rack densities past 100kW. The system is engineered to handle rack loads up to 150kW, ensuring it meets the demands of next-generation data centers. Additionally, it is compatible with low-voltage direct current (LVDC) installations up to 1000VDC, providing flexibility in power delivery.

One of the key features of the T5 DoubleBar is its increased pluggable space. By utilizing a high-density double-bar architecture, the system increases amperage and pluggable space without expanding its footprint. This design allows for zero-downtime reconfiguration, enabling hot-pluggable tap-off capability. Data center operators can safely install and remove tap-off units without shutting down the system, thereby maximizing operational continuity.

The modular design of the T5 DoubleBar ensures true scalability and adaptability. It supports multiple ratings without requiring a system redesign and is designed for future expansion up to 5000A, protecting long-term capital investments. This forward-thinking approach ensures that data center operators can meet evolving power demands without the need for extensive system redesigns.

To complement the Starline T5 DoubleBar, Legrand has also launched a new High-Capacity Plug-in Unit (HCP). These units offer up to 250A capacity and come in multiple enclosure formats, delivering more power through a single unit. The HCP is designed to power high-density AI and HPC racks directly, reducing the need for multiple lower-amperage plug-ins and simplifying the overall power delivery architecture.

Legrand, with its comprehensive offering of solutions for residential, commercial, and data center markets, has reported sales of €9.5 billion in 2025. The company continues to innovate and expand its product lineup to meet the evolving needs of its customers. The Starline T5 DoubleBar and High-Capacity Plug-in Unit are part of Legrand's ongoing commitment to providing robust and flexible power distribution solutions for high-density environments.
