Alberta-based Legacy Gold Mines Ltd. has announced significant drilling results from its 2026 exploration program at the Baner Gold Mine Property in Idaho County, Idaho. The company reported assay results from core holes LG26-017 and LG26-003, part of Phase 1 of the 2026 drill program.

Core hole LG26-017, drilled east from one of the new up-hill drill pads, returned 3.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 12.5 meters (m) (41 feet (ft)), beginning only 6.2 meters (20 ft) downhole. This result includes a 15.1 g/t gold intersection over 2.05 meters (6.7 ft). Additionally, the hole revealed four additional mineralized zones, including one with 0.62 g/t gold over 38.8 meters (127 ft).

Legacy Gold's previously-released holes LG26-004 and LG26-021, both drilled west from the new up-hill pads, also intersected significant mineralization. Hole LG26-004 returned six significant intersections, including 2.4 g/t gold over 8.2 meters (26.9 ft), including 6.6 g/t gold over 2.3 meters (7.5 ft). The hole also included 1.14 g/t gold over 13.5 meters (44.3 ft) from surface, including 3.45 g/t gold over 1.5 meters (5 ft), and 0.63 g/t gold over 20.1 meters (65.9 ft), including 10.5 g/t gold over 0.5 meters (1.6 ft).

Hole LG26-021 intersected 0.67 g/t gold over 15.2 meters (50 ft), including 2.0 g/t gold over 1.5 meters (5 ft). The hole also showed a broad intersection of 0.39 g/t gold over 61.0 meters (200 ft), beginning only 15 meters (49.2 ft) vertically below surface and including four higher-grade 1.5-meter (5 ft) intervals grading from 0.86 g/t to 2.41 g/t gold.

The 2026 drill program was designed to begin with up to 12,000 feet (3,658 m) of core drilling in Phase 1, followed by up to 28,000 feet (8,536 m) of reverse circulation (RC) drilling in Phase 2. This program follows up on the successful 2025 results by targeting both the Main and Northeast Zones, as well as new exploration targets to the northwest indicated by large gold-in-soil anomalies coincident with geophysical conductors and similar magnetic highs as are in the Main Zone.

To date, eleven core holes have been drilled, including one exploration hole to the west, two holes at the south end of the Main Zone and Baner Zones, three holes up the hill in the western portion of the Main Zone, three holes at the north end of the Main Zone, and two holes in the Northeast Zone. The RC phase of the 2026 program is planned to comprise up to 53 holes, with 18 completed to date.

The belt of mineralization that traces through the Elk City and Orogrande mining districts is known as the Orogrande Shear Zone, estimated to be between 100-200 meters (328-656 ft) wide, with a general north-northeast (NNE) trend. Gold mineralization occurs along this zone in numerous prospects and small historic mines. Most of the mineralization appears to be along Riedel shear structures that cross over between two bounding major north-south structures along the Orogrande Shear Zone. In general, higher grade historical mining was undertaken on narrow zones of strong sericite-silica-carbonate alteration and quartz veins.
