Ledger Run and ICE Global Consulting have expanded their strategic partnership to enhance clinical trial contracting and financial management. The collaboration, which began five years ago, now sees ICE Global focusing on providing site contracts and budget negotiation and management services, while Ledger Run concentrates on advancing its ClinRun platform and site payments services.
Brooke Millman-Ice, CEO of ICE Global Consulting, emphasized the strategic alignment between the two companies.
Ledger Run, a leader in clinical trial financial management solutions, is leveraging its ClinRun platform to automate manual tasks, reduce errors, and speed up cycle times. The company has invested heavily in research and development, releasing quarterly updates that incorporate AI into key payment processes. The latest ClinRun update includes intelligent automation and expanded flexibility to accelerate payment operations.
Patrick Mizer, Chief Technology Officer at Ledger Run, explained, "Agentic technology is ideal for automating low-value payment processing activities, such as cross-referencing invoices and uploading them to multiple systems. These tasks are time-consuming and prone to human error, pulling study staff away from strategic work. AI can significantly improve the payment experience for research sites."
The expanded partnership also benefits ICE Global Consulting, as it strengthens the company's trusted contracting operations and builds on its experience supporting sponsors, contract research organizations (CROs), and other research organizations. ICE Global will continue to work directly with customers on their contracting and budget needs, leveraging Ledger Run's ClinRun technology to support efficient clinical trial contracting and financial operations.
CEO of Ledger Run, John Chinnici, highlighted the importance of the partnership for the clinical research industry.
Hightower Clinical CEO, Brad Hightower, echoed similar sentiments. "Sponsors are increasingly focusing on the site experience as part of their brand, and payment processing is a significant factor. Being able to demonstrate a fast and easy payment process can be a differentiator," he noted.
The partnership between Ledger Run and ICE Global Consulting is expected to streamline clinical trial operations, improve financial management efficiency, and enhance the overall experience for research sites. With a growing site-to-trial ratio, sponsors are becoming more competitive in attracting sites, and this collaboration aims to address the challenges faced by both sponsors and research organizations.
Through their combined efforts, Ledger Run and ICE Global Consulting are poised to deliver significant advancements in the clinical trial industry, ensuring that sponsors and research sites can focus on their core objectives while benefiting from efficient and transparent financial operations.
