LearnAboutWine.com, the pioneering digital platform for wine education, is set to transform the Los Angeles culinary scene with its exclusive bucket list wine dinners. Founded in 1995, the company has grown from the first online platform for wine enthusiasts to a leading destination for high-end wine entertainment. Sommelier Director Ian Blackburn is curating a series of intimate dinners designed to satisfy the dreams of international wine collectors.

Each dinner is carefully planned to showcase some of the world's most sought-after wines. The September 10th event, "Pétrus Vs. The First Growths," will take place at 71Above in Los Angeles. This dinner, which begins at 6:45 PM, will feature a blind tasting of celebrated white Bordeaux and an expansive flight of treasured reds, including two vintages of Petrus (1983 and 1975) and a comprehensive horizontal of 2000 vintage First Growths. According to Blackburn, "The ability to taste these wines side by side and blind is the heart of the experience."

The September 24th dinner, "California Ultra Luxury Table Wines (Aka the Cult Wine Dinner)," will feature Harlan Estate, Screaming Eagle, and Scarecrow at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. This private dining space, scheduled for 8 guests, will showcase 9 exceptional wines. Executive Chef Luis Cuadra of The Peninsula Hotels will ensure that the culinary experience matches the quality of the wine.

On October 8th, the company returns to 71Above for "The Great Burgundy Dinner Featuring DRC & Friends." This event, limited to 14 guests, will highlight all 10 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti expressions, drawn from exceptional vintage releases, with an estimated combined retail value of $70,000. The venue's executive chef, Javier Lopez, will craft a modern American dining experience that complements the wines.

The December 3rd dinner, "Sine Qua Non and Friends," will be hosted at Providence, one of two three-Michelin Star restaurants in Los Angeles. This event celebrates the work of Sine Qua Non alongside legendary bottles from Jean-Louis Chave and Alois Kracher. Executive Chef Michael Cimarusti, a 2019 James Beard Award recipient, will create a bespoke multi-course menu.

The February 25th dinner, "Vega Sicilia - Spain's Ambassador to the World of Fine Wine," will be a prestigious evening featuring Dennis Fassett, Vega Sicilia's Worldwide Ambassador. Executive Chef Javier Lopez will design a seasonal multi-course menu to complement the world-class Spanish wines.

Ian Blackburn, a pioneer in wine education, first entered the industry in 1989 as a student at Cal Poly Pomona. His passion for global viticulture was nurtured by mentors like Robert Mondavi and Joseph Phelps. Today, he leads a team that curates these exclusive wine dinners, ensuring that each event is a memorable experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
