GREAT NECK, N.Y., Nov. 2, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Latitude Food Allergy Care has expanded its network to Long Island, opening a new clinic in Great Neck to serve families in Nassau County and Queens. The clinic, led by board-certified allergists Dr. Amanda Schneider and Dr. Erin Banta, aims to provide specialist-led care to Long Island residents dealing with food allergies.

Dr. Amanda Schneider, a board-certified allergist and immunologist with over a decade of experience at NYU Langone Health, will head the new clinic. Schneider has been instrumental in leading oral immunotherapy (OIT) treatment in Manhattan and has been a co-investigator on numerous allergy and immunology studies, focusing on food allergy diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. She has published research on biologic treatments and early egg introduction.

Dr. Erin Banta, also a board-certified allergist and immunologist with over 15 years of experience in the New York City region, will join Schneider in providing comprehensive care. Banta previously practiced at NYU Langone Long Island and serves as the vice president of the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society. She has trained future allergists and has a wealth of experience in treating a wide range of patients.

The Great Neck clinic will offer a full range of services, including skin testing, in-office blood draws, oral food challenges, early food introduction for infants, OIT for single or multiple allergens, and Xolair (omalizumab), an injectable biologic that can be used on its own or alongside OIT. According to the clinic, 94 percent of patients who start OIT treatment complete the program and can safely eat foods they once had to avoid. For children under 4, the success rate rises to 98 percent.

The opening of the Great Neck clinic is part of Latitude Food Allergy Care's ongoing mission to provide expert food allergy care to communities across New York. As food allergy moms, the co-founders of Latitude, Kimberley Yates and her husband, built the network to be the place they wished they had when their own children were diagnosed. The clinic aims to create a welcoming environment where families can find support and the necessary care to manage food allergies.

The expansion to Long Island is part of Latitude's strategy to bring specialist-led care to more families in need. With the new clinic, Long Island residents can now access the same high-quality care that has been available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and White Plains.
